Dish Washing Block

$12.00 Sale Save

This zero-waste, vegan dish washing block is made by No-Tox Life in Los Angeles, CA. It is a cleaning powerhouse with a rich, sudsy lather, and cuts stubborn grime and grease, without drying out your hands. You can use it for cleaning-duty all over your home! Take stains out of laundry, take labels off of jars, spot clean your carpet, use it to wipe down counters... it's a truly multipurpose product.

6 oz bar replaces roughly one 12 oz bottle of typical liquid dish soap.

How to use: Scrape dishes to remove excess grease and food. Wet Sponge or Scrubber and rub dish soap block to create suds. Repeat as needed to refresh suds. Wash items and rinse well. Works in warm or cold water. We prefer warm water for best results. For pots and pans, use a scrubber or scourer.

Please note: using a strong scourer or scrubber exclusively on the block will wear it down faster than using a soft sponge or cloth.

For extra sparkly dishes: wipe dishes dry with an UNpaper® Towel!

Pro kitchen tip: This dishwashing block can be used on porcelain, stainless, stone and glass sinks safely. We have seen customers use it to clean dirty & stained oven top surfaces as well!

(Due to the handmade and hand cut nature of this product, there may be slight roughness or cracks on the edges of the bar.)

***Vegan. Phosphate-free. Sulfate-free. Paraben-free. Fragrance-free. Cruelty-free.

Septic safe, greywater safe, biodegradable. Made without palm oil.***

Warning: This product is not meant to be cut. It is a very solid block. It is not able to be cut into smaller pieces safely. Rinse well with water if it gets in the eyes.

Pleasantly surprised

If you're thinking of switching from liquid dish soap to this, do it. It suds up easily and cleans well. I did not think my husband would get on board but he loves it too. I personally found that the Diatomaceous Stone soap dish works best with this

Staple in My House

I tried this bar about 1.5 years ago and have not gone back. True, you do need to work a bit more on really greasy dishes, but it doesn't take that much more time to assess and repeat until it is clean. I love how a little goes a long way for most dishes, rinses clean, has no fragrance, and is multi purpose. It works great on my stovetop. I'll take some of the soap suds and a scrubbie to it and then do a final rinse and wipe with reusable cloth and am rei happy with the clean. I consider this product a two-fer because I like to take the little slivers that are left at the end of the bar's life and drop them in my homemade liquid hand soap dispenser. They will eventually break down and make more soap for me. Since I live in NC I try to pair these orders with the toothpaste tabs, and order at least two bars of soap to save shipping and emissions. I cant live without this bar dish soap!

Dish soap block

This dish soap block is long-lasting and leaves dishes clean with no residue. This is a perfect solution to eliminating plastic soap bottles and not putting toxic chemicals into our precious earth. Good quality and worth the money.

Squeeky Clean

Don't be fooled by is basic appearance this thing packs a punch of cleaning power. It really has no smell, I have super sensitive skin and I am allergic to some kitchen soaps, no issue with this one! Truly happy so far the 10+ times I have used it so far since getting it. I'll without doubt be repurchasing

Will never give this stuff up

This is my absolute favorite dish soap. I will say, it performs at its best when used with a washcloth, as compared to a bristle brush or sponge. But the wonderful thing about it when you use with a cloth, is that as you wash it just keeps getting sudsier and sudsier. Compared to dawn dish soap I feel like I’m reapplying soap WAY less often to wash more dishes. I air dry my dishes and don’t have any problems with leftover film, at least not any more than I do with any soap. A single block lasts me a good few months, in a three person household with lots of people visiting regularly. Using this for the last year has converted everyone in the household, we won’t be switching back.

Repurchased!

Surprisingly sudsy and cleans better than my natural liquid dish soap. Plus looks pretty sitting on the counter.

Looong lasting and Surprisingly sudsy

Loved this- purchased more. Less waste and I was shocked that it got really sudsy and lasted as long as two full (plastic) bottles of dish soap.
